Students in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg
The first edition of the competition. You do not need any investing experience: the webinars and model portfolios are there to teach you.
- StudentsAt a university in the Netherlands, Belgium or Luxembourg, any study.
- Solo or a teamEnter alone or with up to two friends. Add teammates early: late joiners cost the team points until they catch up.
- €100,000 to investVirtual money in shares, funds and more. You may hold cash as part of your strategy.
- Online, then AmsterdamEverything runs on UMushroom, in your browser or the app. Only the Grand Final is in person.
Returns are only part of it
The leaderboard counts up to 1,000 points. Beating the market helps, but so does turning up to the webinars and explaining your thinking.
- 40%Performance: how your portfolio does against everyone else's, updated daily.

- 10%Strategy: write up your investment strategy in your portfolio. The jury reads it.
- 7%Bonus tasks: one small task a day, with extra points for five days in a row.

Five finalists, one jury, in Amsterdam
The top five present their strategy in person to a jury of people from the industry, who pick the winners. Finalists need to be there to win a prize. Your pitch is five slides at most, covering:
What the winners take home
The jury awards the prizes at the final. The internship prizes are a way in, not a guaranteed place: the CVs of the top three go to FactSet and MTCM, who decide whom to invite to their interviews.

Before you sign up
Is it real money?
No. You manage €100,000 of virtual money at real market prices. Nothing you do can lose you money.
The competition already started. Is it too late?
No. Entry is open until 20 November and you can still follow the webinars that are left. Points build up week by week, so the sooner you join, the more time you have to score.
Do I need to know about investing?
No. The weekly webinars and the model portfolios on the platform are made for students starting out. Good notes on why you invest the way you do count for points too.
What does it cost?
